Hey there! My name is Carrie Dail Maxwell, and I’m the creator and operator of Maxwell Performance.
I transitioned from coaching NCAA soccer at UNC Charlotte to start Maxwell Performance. With the aim of bridging the gap in performance and recovery of athletes and individuals, Maxwell Performance focuses on details, consistency, and intentionally pursues small wins. By offering both group and individual sessions in soccer, running, strength, yoga, and nutrition, Maxwell Performance offers a wide knowledge base for both athletes and individuals to excel and achieve their goals.
My previous playing and coaching experience makes personal training and strength programming a natural progression and one that I deeply enjoy. As an athlete, I prided myself on working hard, completing every rep, and knowing that I gave my best effort each day. By the time I reached college, I had learned two key lessons – consistency wins every time and the little things are the big things. Over the years, I witnessed teammates and peers either succeed or fail, and each time the determining factor was their overall commitment to growth and integrity in doing the little things right. In all of the programming, Maxwell Performance not only focuses on the details, but explains the significance behind them. Speed, agility, endurance, explosiveness, strength, and injury prevention are pillars within each personalized plan according to the individual’s goals.
As a former professional athlete when I found yoga, I first accessed it as a complimentary cross-training activity. I soon realized the benefits went far beyond my expectations, and I’ve since built these principles into Maxwell Performance’s programming. My yoga programming within athletic teams leads to improved recovery, enhanced proprioception, better focus, and lower anxiety levels. There is nothing on the market that supports athletes’ recovery, mobility, focus, mental strength, and mental health. However, my athlete centered yoga programming provides all of the above benefits and more. Maxwell Performance works alongside collegiate athletic departments and teams to support the mental health and recovery that is lacking in the current competitive environments. I teach the process and empower each individual to be able to use what we do together in sessions wherever their athletic or professional career may take them.
Finally, nutrition is essential to overall health, especially concerning athletes. The goal is to empower individuals to make the best choices available while still enjoying their lives and meals. Food is fuel and must also be enjoyed. With so much information available, it is easy to be confused by trends and marketing strategies. By partnering with Maxwell Performance, you will find strategies that have you performing at your best while establishing a balanced nutritional foundation.
I hope to have the opportunity to help you reach your goals, and I look forward to connecting soon!
– Carrie
